Towards a search of definition

In order to well understand Spiritual Abuse, it is necessary, thanks to Biblical examples, to briefly describe the various mechanisms of both physical and psychological abuses first.

Some different approaches to better localize the problem of Spiritual Abuse are tackled, its source and level of seriousness as well.

B.

The disastrous dynamics of Spiritual Abuse

Fear of men within the Leader's life does constitute one of the main nests of Spiritual Abuse. In this area also, the Bible will enlight us about the progressive and tyrannical action of Spiritual Abuse, once perpetrated, in the victim's life. In all the cases, its final undermining will unfortunately fall on the potential of Worshipper within the Christian's inner being, the very central priesthood of every Church' member. A chart will put into evidence the backstage of dysfunctional Leadership and its direct results upon the local church.

Towards an attempt of tracking down

Description of advance indications and alarm signals when Spiritual Abuse is about to occur. Emotional triggers on the Victim's side (wheter he/she recognizes him/herself as such, or maybe not yet).

Toxic Leadership : anticipating the Abuser's behaviour and recognizing the veiled signs within the Leader's personality. Identifying the abusive system. Being aware of what Spiritual Abuse is, and what it is not.

Towards a search for solutions

Forgiving, forgetting, recovering the skill of being agree to start trusting again... All these are human concepts which have often been presented in a very guilt-producing way. Forgiving is not forgetting, and forgetting is not the ability to offer one's confidence again. One must highlight the gradual stages which are very different from eachother, and which all get linked to both internal and external criteria to the Victim.

While meditating on His suffering and His attitude facing the kind of human authority He sustained on Earth, we will discover Jesus Christ as THE solution to the Abuse.
